Nordstrom Symphony Fashion Show

The Symphony Fashion show is an annual show held in Nashville, Tennessee which helps to raise money for symphony programming. This year the Nashville Symphony partnered with Nordstrom to showcase the Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2012 collection. The show was followed by a performance from the country starlet, Carrie Underwood.

Hana Sadiq

Hana Sadiq is a famous Iraqi designer based in Jordan. ¬†She is known for her beautiful kaftans which I had the¬†honour¬†of wearing last night at the showcasing of her new collection. Made with muslin from Iraq, cotton from Egypt and linen from Sudan, Hana’s kaftans are bright with striking colours, hand beading and embroidery. Arabic calligraphy dominated her designs with illustrations of verses of love or simple scattered letters of ‘Kufic’¬†.

Emilio Pucci Spring/Summer 2012

For the last 3 weeks I have been busy working in the Emilio Pucci showroom for their market.¬†For those who don’t know,¬†after every fashion week buyers from around the world make their way¬†to the various designers showrooms to place¬†their orders for the following season.¬†Models are needed for this somewhat informal showing of the clothes to¬†the clients.

It is very tiring job as the days are packed with appointments and it requires many many outfit changes as the clients make their selections.

On the other hand, it is every girls dream to get dressed up in the latest looks straight off the runway.

Pucci’s S/S 2012 collection was inspired by the sultry and passionate persona of haute gypsies.¬†Many of the looks I absolutely adored!

Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed wearing Pucci’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection! ūüôā
